The library has a large bibliography about protected areas, flora, fauna, historical documents and other material related with the creation of National Parks. It opens to the public from Tuesday to Friday from 10 to 13 hs. and from 14 to 17.30 hs. If you want to retire material to photocopy you must do it up to 16 hs., presenting D.N.I. or Identity Card.

TEACHING CAPACITATION
“Sustainable Development and Protected Areas” Teaching Capacitation Course
With the objective of generate the incorporation of themes like the heritage's conservation in the formal education, it was created the course “Sustainable Development and Protected Areas”, in charge of the Interpretation and Environmental Extension Direction of National Parks Administration. The course gives score to the Federal Education Net and to the Educational Secretary of Buenos Aires.

CIES
Sub-tropcial Ecological Researches Center
The CIES (Ecological Researches Center) is a biological station located in the Iguazú National Park. It points to technical experts and researchers who want to develop scientific researches in the Iguazú National Park.
There is an important library, which has a special collection about the protected area´s fauna. Besides, there is a particular herbarium composed by the characteristic species of the region. Its selection is based on a research developed by the CIES and the IBONA – Botanic Northeast Institute- .
To use the CIES the scientific researches must have an Administración de Parques Nacionales´s permission. They will receive special facilities if the projects have a special interest to the protected area conservation goals.

INFORMATION CENTER The public attention is from Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 17.00 hs. The Center offers information to consult, like maps, sketches and brochures to plan trips and also gives advices about the routes and ways of the country that are necessary take to get to National Parks. Visitors can also received information about federal jurisdiction areas.
The office has an actualized data center for the public with information about all the protected areas. It also offers advices about the National Forester career and about the volunteering in the National Parks.

BIODIVERSITY INFORMATION SYSTEM

The SIB (Biodiversity Information System) was created in order to start a compilation, classification and spreading of biological information process. It belongs to the Administración de Parques Nacionales and has Global Fund Financing. The SIB is thought as a system of tools orientated to identify, archive, organize and exchange biodiversity information, which is useful to technical and scientific activities in the Argentinean protected areas.
The SIB is framed into the argentinean biodiversity conservation project, whose main goal is to protect biodiversity expanding the Protected Areas Federal System and creating good conditions for its sustainable development .
